Ellen grew up in Plainview, LI, the youngest of 5 girls. She went to SUNY Albany and graduated with a BA in 1988. She worked in NYC as a Claims Examiner for Medical Malpractice Insurance.

Ellen got married in August 1994 and moved to Roosevelt Island, NY until she had her 1st child in September 1996. While pregnant she and her husband, Gene would take the train to LI on weekends to look for a house. They bought their first house at 57 Jefferson Rd, Farmingdale and moved in October 1996.

Ellen had three more boys in 1998, 2000 and 2002 and was no longer working outside the home. Around 2013 she started working with Sue McCoy helping her with clerical work. They would go door to door delivering plants to local homeowners to drum up business.

In 2014, with Sue McCoy as their agent they bought a bigger house to accommodate the in-laws moving in with them. They moved into their new home in Farmingdale in November 2014. Not only did they find the perfect house to buy but Sue sold their house without it ever going on the market. It was a quick and easy transaction.

As Sue McCoy got busier, Ellen started taking on more duties. Now she is responsible for sending out the Homeward Bound Newsletter and Market Watch Newsletter to clients every month, inputting new clients into Follow-Up Boss, delivering the content requested from leads through Facebook, looking for properties for potential buyers based on their criteria, checking availability and setting up appointments. Meeting photographers and staging the house if necessary. Writing the commentaries for the flyers for new listings, preparing CMA’s, paying Ben Gardener every Monday and whatever else Sue needs her to do.

Ellen recently got her license as a Real Estate Salesperson. She is looking forward to becoming a bigger part of The Real McCoy Team and the YHSG! It is a very exciting next chapter in her life.
